The fact that your hobby is to diss a film industry is simply pathetic - get a life.

Nope, they wish.

Actually right after the Times of India article about our launch appeared, we received a 50 fold increase in our traffic, and a lot of angry Bollywood fans wanted to vent their anger at our utter-disrespect for their beloved movie industry, but all they managed to do was leave some incomprehensible comments and push our commenting script's usage through the roof. Finally our machine gave up, and public access to our website had to be temporarily disabled.

Sorry if you tried to visit us during those 8 hours of February 23rd, 2005. It wasn't us... but neither was it any 'Bollywood biggie'.

As a result of that event though, we changed our commenting policies to allow only [Typekey] registered users to comment on movies and questions. (But on our relaunch in October 2007, we again enabled anonymous commenting.)

In some cases, our descriptions of the movies and their similarities are vague, but the only reason for that is the lack of time to do indepth research. Movies are only included after cross referencing plots and reviews at various Bollywood websites and IMDb.

Therefore, what we suggest is that you go watch the movies.

Of course we welcome your feedback as well and that's why we allow commenting on each and every entry.

We read plot reviews on all movies before adding them here. A lot of times, the movies are not full-fledged photocopies (not everyone is Mahesh Bhatt) and rather based on the original without providing any credits to it. You have to watch 'em yourself to find similarities... don't expect us to spill each and every bean.

Also, please note that movies that we are receiving most questions about, and which we weren't really sure about (like "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai") were only including after cross referencing the alleged inspirations with reports from Bollywood reviewers and reporters.

All such information is freely available on the web. Google 'em.

Oh dude, you just had to get my attention with this one.

You see, when we conceived this project, we knew schmucks like you would come out and stay stuff like this. Well, you can say what you want, we don't really care. But what we do is just hope you get mugged while scrambling to get those first-day-first-show tickets for "Teri Maa Ko Salaam".

And about your question, "Lollywood" is so miniscule that we don't even give a shit about it. Very frankly, 99.99% of Pakistanis would prefer Bollywood over it or even Hollywood any given day. But does that make them, you, or Bollywood movies any better? We think NOT.

But yeah, Lollywood sucks ass too, even more than Bollywood.
There, we said it.

Is my li'l puppy happy now?

Schmuck.

P.S. Please take your little cross-border bashing to where ever it is that you come from.

Apparently, that can be blamed on an oldschool law system, and also the unwillingness of Hollywood to go after these petty theives.

We've heard that you have prove, in Indian courts, that atleast twenty scenes have been copied to the frame to prove illegal copying of copyright work.

Recently though, a New York based novelist was able to [briefly] stop a show from being aired because it's story had been stolen from one of her novels. The Sahara TV show reported cost over U.S. $13 million to produce, and featured some of the top Bollywood stars.

The courts later allowed the station to go ahead with the show's broadcast.

Also, not all movies are complete copies, some really have taken only "inspirations".

Well, we just don't like most Bollywood movies. They suck. Big time.

Got it?

Ssshhh... I'm not supposed to talk about kissing, groping, sensual hugging and stuff. That's all taboo.

Anyway, when ever female does perform that one awkward, totally weird looking kiss on camera, she's instantly labeled... you guess it right... a ho.
