Shakti: The Power
This BollyCat is an Indianized version of the Sally Field Starrer. However, Sally Field marries Alfred Morina - an Iranian in the movie, and Karisma Kapoor marries an Indian. Another diiference is that the daughter in the original becomes the son in the copied version and the father-in-law plays villain instead of the husband. Thankfully, the Shahrukh Khan character was absent in the original.
An interesting excerpt from a review at IMDb.com, "...it seems almost like the sort of thing a director from Pakistan might shoot to convince the world that India is an evil place to avoid."
