A woman (male in the original) has "visions" of herself being murdered in the past. She gets help from a friend psychatrist and tries to solve the mystery and help those affective by it.

The Bollywood rip off of this Hollywood movie is called Karz, not Kudrat. Karz has Rishi Kapoor playing the same male lead as in the Hollywod flick, with Simi Garewal playing his wife from his previous life, who killed him. The end is different in that, of course, Simi does not kill him once again, but good triumphs over evil and Rishi Kapoor takes "badla".
