Shri 420 a bollycat of Citizen Kane
Both movies follow a similar plot line of a young man's journey to the top, all the while alienting himself from those that love him and manipulating everyone else.

LOL ! are you kidding me. Have you seen Citizen Kane? Watch it before making such stupid analogies.
Another Faaaak comment... to quote IMDB "Multimillionaire newspaper tycoon Charles Foster Kane dies alone in his extravagant mansion, Xanadu, speaking a single word: "Rosebud". In an attempt to figure out the meaning of this word, a reporter tracks down the people who worked and lived with Kane; they tell their stories in a series of flashbacks that reveal much about Kane's life but not enough to unlock the riddle of his dying breath." -- Now if any of you buggers has ever even gone near the cinema showing Shri 420, you will know you faaaked up
come on man this is tooooo much.i have seen both the movies and both are different.and i'am sure if u'd have seen citizen kane u'd have never written this.
Shri 420 is Frank Capra's Mr. Deeds Goes to Town.
Not Citizen Kane, which incidentally is a very highly regarded film but completely unentertaining. And since it didn't entertain me - I hate Citizen Kane too.
Also, Raj Kapoor - the great showman - copied everything Capra did. The only thing the great showman showed was the skin of women. Watching Vyjanthimala's tits was pretty disturbing for a 11-year-old. Still can't understand why Mera Naam Joker got a PG or U (universal in India) rating.
what an insult on both films. Mr, you havent seen both of these films...otherwise they wouldnt be listed here. Shree 420 is NOTHING like Citizen Kane...both are very beautiful films. NO scene from Citizen Kane is a copied in Shree 420 and even the plot, isnt similar...not even remotely similar...yet you have stated that it is. I think thats wrong. I am a big fan of both films.
Yes, alot of Bollywood films copy and its very sad they do...and you have listed films that truly are copies but I suggest you see some of the good ones too maybe you can enjoy the films more...see films by people like Guru Dutt, Vijay Anand, Bimal Roy, Yash Chopra, HrishiKesh Mukherjee, Shyam Benegal..see films like Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Lagaan, Bandini, Awara, Guide,Deewar...India has some great actors too like Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Nargis, Waheeda Rehman...
The film industry isnt TOTAL crap as you are making it out to be. There are good and bad things in everything in life.
