Road a bollycat of Duel
Although the inside plots are different, because Bollywood had to add a female character... the main theme of both movies remains the same: an enraged psychopath loose on the highway, and guy/couple trying to stay away from him.

Road is actually a rip of the kurt russel starrer Breakdown.
Actually Raod has been duplicated from an 'OK' action thriller by Kurt Russel 'Breakdown'. I don't know if it in turn is based on 'Duel' (or vice versa), but except for Manoj Bajpeyi, Road sucks. I haven't seen 'Duel'. Hey admin guys, pls tell the years of 'Duel' & 'Breakdown'.
In 'Breakdown', there is a gang that abducts Kurt's wife, just like Antara Mali in 'Road'. But in 'Raod', Antara plays a confused woman who develops Stockholm syndrome where the hostage loves kidnapper, it sucks.
the main part of the movie is actually a complete rip off fromthe movie kalifornia starring brad pitt.brad pitt was amazing as the maniacal kidnapper.but there is no stockholm syndrome in the movie though the maniac falls in love with the lady.

I think ROAD bares a closer resemblance to this movie, but to be fair its a plot so common you'll have a job pinpointing the one.
