Ek Hasina Thi a bollycat of Double Jeopardy

| | Comments (7)

Not a total rip off, but definitely lots of parallels...

Guy frames nice girl.
Girl goes to jail.
Girl becomes a hard ass while in prison.
Girl comes out looking for revenge.

Urmila is a good substitute for Ashley Judd.

On a side note, compare the cover art for the two DVDs.

and one thing more, perhaps PAKIS dont know that film 'Notting Hill" is plagarised from film "ABHINETRI" in 70s.

LOL. EHT is hardly a copy of DJ. Desperate measures from you people.

I appreciate the idea of putting copies. But I would be happy if you take this movie of the list. It is not even 10% similar to Double Jeopardy. I saw both movies. Double Jeopardy sucked big time, but I consider this movie to be one of the best handled in the recent time.

Ek hasina thi was also partially inspired by the 1982 female prison pic the concrete jungle.

I really wondered if the movie such as this could be without any "inspirations". If all you could come up with is "Double Jeopardy" as the source, it just goes to increase my admiration for the movie.

c'mon,
this script is immemorialized by sydney sheldon in "the other side of midnight"
you are going to find parallels of it everywhere. i wouldn't say its a copy, and certainly not from double jeopardy
