So true! I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and this is an outrage! "Abra Ka Daabra" what nonsense. These people just copy any "major hit" in America thinking it'll be a hit just like it. Why don't they just name it "Hari Puttar and the Bollywood Parody".

why not copy? everybody does that, even hollywood copies from bollywood! remember the remake of 'sangam'?

how about they are remaking munna bhai mbbs ?

i read somewhere even munna bhai was a rip off of patch adams. so a american director is now making a remake of a remake ?

When hollywood remakes ,they admit that they are remaking it,that`s the diferrence

hey hollywood does copy after giving credit--eg. the ring, remade from jap flick, vanilla sky remade from abre los ojos, the others from los otros.
they take permisiion give credit pay
percentage of earnings.and ofter it is an open honest collaboration between original director and cast and crew and new set.like penelope cruz acts in both the original abre los ojos and vanilla sky..so nothing wrong with that..
our much respected veteran directors and producers often begin the movie invoking the blerssings of the almighty but forget at the movie's end to include the lines:

"ADapted from the original"
or at the very least "inspired by the original"
as any copyright lawyer will state even that aint enough--Permission
HAS to be taken!
